The task: A shop sold 6 products for 4 months. Find the total and the average for each product.

1 Watch how it is done

  1. Step 1: Add the four months

    =SUM(B4:E4)

    • Click cell F4.
    • Type =SUM(B4:E4) and press Enter.
    • Drag the fill handle (small square at the corner) down to the last row.
  2. Step 2: Find the average

    =AVERAGE(B4:E4)

    • Click cell G4.
    • Type =AVERAGE(B4:E4) and press Enter.
    • Drag the fill handle down to the last row.
