Print the Header Row on Every Page in Excel

A 10-page printout where only page 1 has column headings is useless. Print Titles fixes it once for the whole file.

Steps

1. Page Layout › Print Titles.
2. Click inside Rows to repeat at top.
3. Click row 1 on the sheet (or drag rows 1–2 for two heading rows). The box shows $1:$1.
4. OK.

Repeat a column on every page too

Same dialog, Columns to repeat at left: click column A. Useful for wide tables where names are in A.

Add page numbers

Same dialog › Header/Footer tab › Footer dropdown › Page 1 of ?. OK.

Check it worked

Ctrl + P, click the right arrow at the bottom of the preview to page 2. Headings should be there.

Print Titles is greyed out

You opened the dialog from Print Preview. Close it and use the Page Layout tab instead. Also greyed out while editing a cell — press Esc first.

This is not Freeze Panes

Freeze Panes keeps headings on screen. Print Titles keeps them on paper. Most sheets need both: freeze panes.
