Excel Hyperlink to Another Sheet (click to jump)
With Ctrl + K
- Click the cell for the link and press Ctrl+K.
- On the left choose Place in This Document.
- Pick the sheet and type the cell (e.g. A1).
- Type the display text › OK.
With a formula
=HYPERLINK("#Sales!A1","Go to Sales")
The # tells Excel the place is inside this file. Sheet names with spaces need single quotes:
=HYPERLINK("#'Sales 2026'!A1","Sales 2026")
More in HYPERLINK.
A contents page
List your sheet names in A2:A10 on a sheet called Contents, then in B2:
=HYPERLINK("#'"&A2&"'!A1",A2)
Fill down. Every name is a working link.
A “Back to contents” link
On each sheet: =HYPERLINK("#Contents!A1","← Contents")
Link to a named range
Ctrl+K › Place in This Document › Defined Names. The link survives rows being inserted. See named ranges.
“Reference isn’t valid”
The sheet was renamed. Links from Ctrl+K don’t update; edit them. Formula links built from cell text can be fixed in one go.
