1. The plus button

Click the + next to the last sheet tab. The new sheet appears to the right of the one you’re on.

2. Keyboard: Shift + F11

Adds a new sheet to the left of the current one. On some laptops press Fn+Shift+F11.

3. Right-click a tab

Right-click › Insert › Worksheet › OK. It lands to the left of the tab you clicked.

4. The ribbon

Home › Cells › Insert › Insert Sheet.

Add several sheets at once

Select three tabs with Ctrl+click, then Home › Insert › Insert Sheet. Excel adds three new sheets.

Put it in the right place

Drag the new tab left or right. Then give it a proper name: rename a sheet.

Start every file with more sheets

File › Options › General › Include this many sheets.

Need a copy of an existing sheet instead? Copy a sheet.
