SUMIF Greater Than in Excel (numbers, cells and dates)

Sum numbers greater than 500

=SUMIF(B2:B100,">500")

Sum one column where another is greater than

Sum the amounts in C where the quantity in B is over 10:

=SUMIF(B2:B100,">10",C2:C100)

Order: range to check, condition, range to add.

Greater than a value in a cell

=SUMIF(B2:B100,">"&E1)

Operator in quotes, cell outside, joined by &.

Dates after a day

=SUMIF(A2:A100,">="&DATE(2026,9,1),C2:C100)

Less than

=SUMIF(B2:B100,"<500")

Between two limits

=SUMIFS(C2:C100,B2:B100,">=100",B2:B100,"<=500")

SUMIFS puts the sum range first. See SUMIFS.

Total is 0

Numbers stored as text: SUM not working.

Count them instead: COUNTIF greater than · Basics: SUMIF
